About us

We Focus On The "Whole Child!"

At Stars & Stripes STEAM Preschool, we follow a “whole child” philosophy where we partner with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical skills. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for kindergarten! In fact, kindergarten teachers LOVE our students so much because they’re such great learners!

YOU'LL LOVE OUR FUN CLASSES!

Our preschool classes develop young minds for future academics, while nurturing and encouraging self-esteem in a fun and loving environment. We use the Frog Street Easy Breezy Preschool Curriculum.

Meet Our Team

Hi! I’m Ms Cheryl!

I can’t wait to meet you soon! Let me tell you a little about myself.

I taught as a substitute teacher for three years in the Cedar Hill independent school district, and I’ve also taught children in my church for the past ten years. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy travelling to California and Florida to visit my family and friends, Sightseeing in beautiful destinations, and sharing my travels with my students.

This is my first year teaching in-home preschool, and I absolutely love everything about it! My favorite part is seeing my students’ eyes light up when they grasp a new concept. It’s so magical! I truly feel that teaching is my calling in life, and I can’t wait to teach your little one. I can’t wait to meet you!

I have had the pleasure of working with Ms. Spraggins for more than five years. She is a woman of integrity, fairness, love, patience, and kindness just to name a few of her characteristics. She is a thorough entrepreneur who enjoys her work and is passionate about children. Quitting or impossible is not in her vocabulary. She will work tirelessly to fulfill her vision. Ms. Spraggins is very detailed and organized. She does not take any shortcuts but strives for excellence in all that she does. I'm privileged to have worked with and learned from her.

One thing I can say about Cheryl Spraggins is that she truly has a gift to teach young children. My children were drawn and captivated by how enlightening and exciting she was able to not only teach but reach my children. My children looked forward to class every week. As a parent, it was very comforting to know that I had a teacher that I could rely on and trust to get the job done. She is and has always been ever since I've known her extremely passionate about teaching the younger generations to come. She is more than equipped for the job. I am proud of who she has become.

As Sunday School Director of the Turning Point Headquarters Church in Grand Prairie, Texas, I’ve had the pleasure of fellowshipping with Ms. Spraggins for many years. She has served faithfully as the Youth Sunday School teacher with children ages 2 years old and up. She is empathetic, shows strong communication skills, focuses on collaboration and knows how to adapt, working in a constantly evolving environment. She is able to adjust her teaching methods based on the age and learning abilities of each of her students. I can honestly say that Ms. Spraggins is very observant, attentive and teaches every student to have a positive attitude. She keeps the children motivated while learning and having fun. The students are eager to learn because of the impact and encouragement they receive from Ms. Spraggins. Passion is the most important trait of an educator and Ms Spraggins demonstrates this when stepping into the classroom. In Ms. Spraggins classroom no child is a failure or left behind.
